The university of Exeter is a wonderful place to study! The facilities are excellent and the amount of spaces to study are second to none especially the library. The teaching staff are incredibly passionate about their subjects and are always happy to help. The only improvement I could think of is the support and opportunities around part-time jobs, I have been struggling for a couple of months to receive any job opportunities to support myself whilst at university.

The teaching staff in Anthropology are amazing, they are obviously very passionate about their subject and it portrays very positively onto the students. Other optional modules such as criminology and sociology discuss some very interesting topics however the teaching staff could make their lectures more inclusive. I’ve also found that lecturers tend to just read off their PowerPoints and struggle to expand the point in question.

It is my own fault for not researching the exact location of Duryard Halls as it is a long uphill walk to campus but again that is my own fault. The student community around this area is wonderful and there has only been a couple of incidents in which the campus security has had to be contacted. Student accommodation in general is expensive especially in the south west but all things considered the facilities are very clean and spacious. As I am in a flat of 6 and not 9 we do not have a toaster and less fridge and bin space but apart from that the accommodation is lovely.

Best aspects are the location and the staff who seem genuinely interested in their subject and translate this in how they teach. Worst aspects are that there never seem to be enough study spaces at peak times and that some of the other students can ruin the experience.

Best aspects are the lecturers who are knowledgeable and passionate about their subject. Worst aspect is career uncertainty.

It is a really beautiful place to live with countryside very close by and great views over hills. The town centre is easily accessible and has a wide range of shops. It is more expensive in terms of housing and cost of living, however, and the bus system is very poor.

Best aspects are the space and the facilities which are clean and easy to access. Worst aspects are its location, it’s the furthest from the uni and at the bottom of a very steep hill
