It is a great place to study the staff are very supportive and understanding. They are happy to explain concepts you may not understand and support you through all your work. The library is a handy resource to have for referencing and a quiet place to work. Also a great place to grab a budget friendly coffee. The only downside aspect I would say is a feeling of isolation if you are living far away from home. University can be stressful with finding housing and accommodation and maintaining a strict budget with your maintenance loan/any job you might find. But university is able to help provide support with this. They offer a great wellbeing team and a wide range of services. My best bit of advice would be get involved wherever you can, interact with your flatmates and people on your course. As much as it may seem easier don’t cling to the comfort of friends from home. Reach out and expand your social life. Whether this is going to the students union, joining a society or even going for coffee and a study session with someone on your course.

My course is amazing. It is something I am highly passionate about. My module leaders and my tutor are highly supportive. My lectures and seminars are informative and the seminars in particular are a great learning environment. You get to partake in a variety of activities so it meets all learning styles and solidifies what you have learnt in your lectures.

Great value for money with a great sized room and an en-suite. Maintenance people on site 24/7 to fix any issues you might have. A large sized kitchen with ample room. The wardrobe space could do with being a bit bigger for me personally (I love a good shopping spree) and sometimes there can be noise from external improvements. We are warned about this in advance however it can be distracting when trying to study from home and if you don’t have to be in university early you best believe you are still getting an early morning wake up call. Also expect extensions on work being done (builders aren’t great with time frames). I would also recommend setting aside a budget for laundry. It is £3.50 a wash and £2 a dry so it can add up quite quickly.
