The university itself is extremely modern, nicely laid out and has many facilities that meet the needs of different types of students, and people. They really seem to care about the student experience and the happiness of their students throughout the course. It could be improved by offering more lectures in person, more feedback sessions to further improvement.

Quite a small campus, which makes studying very personal. Lecturers know your name and courses are not too big. Lecturers seem to really care about your progress and try to support you where they can

Studying at UOS has been a positive experience overall. The tutors on my course take time to support each students needs individually and make themselves readily available to contact with any questions. The support staff for students has improved, but of course the pandemic negatively impacted their ability to remain available and can sometimes take longer than desired to respond to queries. The students union has been a valuable part of my student experience and has improved massively since I began my studies.
All the buildings have a very modern feel, and the staff are all great. Can't think of any way it could be improved.

During my time at the university so far I have had the opportunity to work with some of the finest equipment available on the market , the lectures are filled with enough insight to encourage further research at home.
Software and equipment is exceptional but the delivery of lectures and assessments are poor. The move to block learning isn’t effective for assessing ability of students

As a mature student the facilities and location are good. The view of the marina is always stunning. Lecturers are passionate and supportive and assessment is fair. It has been really good that the university here did not get involved in strike action. The online teaching worked well during Covid.
Other students are fantastic and teaching staff are wonderful. Student services could be better.

The best bit is the new digitech centre they have implemented and the worst is the lack of communication and not being aware of the potential possibilities

Suffolk uni is a small and intimate uni where we have been fortunate enough to enjoy small cohorts and have excellent access to our lecturers. This makes it a really supportive and nurturing environment. Parking is probably the worst thing as you do have to pay. It’s only £2 per day but that adds up and can be hard as a student.
Teachers are very helpful and friendly, librarian staff are very helpful, nice atmosphere.
I love studying at the university of Suffolk because I love the fact that its a smaller uni. This means I get more on-to-one time with my lecturers and they are happy to help and answer any questions I may have. I also love the module learning scheme that has come in this year, I like that I can focus on one module at a time. This helps me to be efficient and proactive with my studies. My academic coach is so helpful and has shown me many different avenues for me to look into for after my degree. the atmosphere is great and everyone is so welcoming. I am also very excited to be able to use the new sports lab as of next year, the money that has gone in to improve our facilities is amazing and I can wait to use them. I do feel there are somethings that could be improved, such as the parking at uni, the availability is great however the wharf car park needs to be resurfaced. the entrance and exit is now two large whole in the group and is not good to drive over. It would also be nice if we could get a larger collection of books for sports and exercise science.
Terrible, would not recommend. No support. Only about 3 members of staff who care.
Developed computing facilities with up to date equipment. Better management of courses and administration

Pros: For my department at least, the course is really unique covering more than just westernized versions of literature, which I value. The support is great from the department due to the small class sizes. Student services team are incredibly helpful! Very passionate lecturers. Cons: Library is relatively small and due to the huge percentage of commuting students/ part-time students it lacks a sense of unity and community.
The university offers decent facilities and its Ipswich campus is within walking distance of both the town centre and the student accommodation. The location of Ipswich is picturesque when looking to the waterfront but leaves more to be desired from the nightlife and other activities. There is not a focus on SU activities or events as these are usually very small scale, and do not interest the majority of students.
For me living local easy to get to, free off site parking, nice surrounding coffee shops and places to study. Nothing than can be helped really the pandemic caused a lot of issues not at the fault of the uni such as I don’t know many in my cohort which is a shame. Hard to check in virtually and for mental well-being keep in contact with appointed tutors. Been quite a lonely experience but in future I’m sure with Covid behind us should improve the experience.
Supportive lecturing staff, disability support useful too. Excellent course learning integrative counselling.

The campus feels fresh and modern, the layout makes it easy to get around, particularly with disabled access to everywhere. The location is simply beautiful- it looks out over a beautiful marina that reminds me of the med in sunny weather. I cannot fault the support from the university. I have not only had amazing support for my mental health issues, which were existing prior to attending, but the university also identified, tested me and put in fantastic support for my dyslexia, something that was only picked up on when I started university. There are so many events, awareness raising activities and extracurricular activities. My favourite thing about this university is its inclusivity and continual willingness to do better. I also cannot fault the level of teaching and support from the lecturers, they are honestly amazing. I have attended a different university previously and therefore do have something to compare it to and therefore feel that UOS absolutely puts it’s students first and empowers them to succeed. The only negative aspect I can think of is that it would be nice to have more options for hot food within the university, however this is a very minor issue overall and there are restaurants near the campus anyway, but something on site would possibly be beneficial. Overall I absolutely recommend UOS, I work with students from other universities within my placement setting and from discussions with them I am so thankful for the support on offer from UOS in comparison with other universities.
Due to Covid we are following a blended learning pattern, although this year our face-to-face contact amount has vastly increased. For a mother like myself, I find blended learning very beneficial- offering the best of both worlds. The course hours are set up with student well-being at the forefront. The university day is 09.30-15.30 with the day divided into 3 sessions of 1.5 hours long for maximum learning and concentration capacity. We currently have 2-3 days a week on campus but face to face or online tutorials are often available on request. The course team are so friendly and supportive, they are always happy to help and I have always felt comfortable emailing any queries and arranging a meeting with them should I need to. The modules we have cover a perfect scope to mould us into the best children’s nurses we can be and set us up for continual learning throughout our careers
