Leeds Beckett really shines through its supportive and knowledgeable lecturers and careers staff. I feel I get the support I deserve and need with my assignment work, and a reasonable amount with my career path. I feel the only improvement my course could make is to have a module dedicated to gaining industry experience, similar to my placement and professional skills module during my undergrad degree.

My career prospects were quiet unknown. I'd like to think they were fairly good however I suffered a health scare during the heigh of lockdown, halfway through my undergrad degree, and had to take a lot of time out after I finished it. Although I did manage to pick myself and my career back up, and my prospects are now much better than when I finished my undergrad. The work placement module I did in the second year of my undergrad was fantastic, guaranteeing all students some relevant and good quality work experience to go along with their degrees. I think this needs to be implemented in almost all courses, both undergraduate and postgraduate level. I've found from applying to grad jobs that employers care a lot more about your work experience and practical skills over your degree.

It was 7 years ago now but I stayed at the Plaza. The location was second to none, neighboring the Beckett campus. It felt fairly safe regarding fires and its structural stability. The wi-fi was fine as was the my rooms and communal areas. Most repairs were fixed accordingly however unexpected fire drills caused quite a bit of disruptions. It was quite expensive although I must admit I very rarely needed too spent money on buses and taxis.

There needs to be more areas to eat lunch

I enjoy the course although having to travel in just for one two hour lecture seems a lot
