My university experience had both highs and lows. I enjoyed learning new things, meeting people, and working on projects, which helped me grow personally and academically. At the same time, challenges like heavy workloads and occasional disorganization taught me resilience and time management, making the experience overall valuable and formative.

The support Brighton Uni has given me so much support with this course and made it very clear who to contact if any issues arise. I also know from friends how incredibly supportive and sympathetic the uni has been when they have experienced personal issues. This is my second Uni I have studied at, and Brighton is far better with the support it gives its students compared to the first one.

Great lecturers , lovely campus and a good community feel. Facilities are modern and constantly updated. Support system is also really good. Worst aspects are cost of living is quite high but still manageable

Best - Love the fields and the lake - great lecturers - my course structure and content is great - great people very friendly - societies and sports are decent - public transport is decent - Y2K is good - bar is good atmosphere, great music, pool, kareoke, etc Worst - a lot of buildings seem run down and un used - when I first got here the amount of admin I had to do to set everything up was so annoying and long - Norwich isn’t a great city getting more unsafe and expensive - SU pints are becoming very expensive - construction has been going on for ages - in first year maintenance were over all the time, sometimes very early on Sundays for very unnecessary reasons and sometimes cos everything was broken - the amount of 9ams I’ve had especially on Thursdays has been a pain especially given how much the SU promotes sports nights - sometimes events aren’t really promoted at all and you just have to hear about them through the grapevine - quite often busses into the city don’t turn up at all which is VERY annoying - tap water in Britten house was gross, as were the showers, could CONSTANTLY smell sewage - single beds !!!!

I find my university a great place to study because they have so much systems in place to help and support students through university life. So far I can’t find any fault because I have access to so much learning materials and support with wellbeing.

The best aspect of the experience is the friendly and supportive environment created by my office colleagues. Their support, along with the opportunities to provide and receive help, makes the experience rewarding. Also, studying a subject that I truly enjoy is much appreciated, giving me a sense of achievement and purpose. The most challenging aspect is the pressure and stress that come with the PhD work and research projects.

Best part of the uni is it's facilities like the David Wilson Library and sports centers, student union , career hub etc. Accommodation is decent, with options in the city and The Village, though the latter is farther from campus. On the downside, some buildings feel outdated, Wi-Fi can be patchy, and travel from The Village to campus can be inconvenient. Overall, it’s supportive with room for improvement.

So close to the train station so really easy access - all buildings are relativity close to each other at city campus so it’s not a big issue if your next class is in a different building. Most of the lecturers are very helpful and especially in my course there is a couple who you can really tell love their job and what they are doing and have so much knowledge which is inspiring! Definitely things to be improved - some of gaps between lecture or seminars and also the timings can be frustrating. It makes it difficult to work alongside the course especially if you are commuting in. It comes down to having to prioritise which might not always be able to be university. They are not check ins with you either and if there is a problem I don’t think they solve it well.

The staff are kind and supportive, and they make themselves accessible to their students. The facilities are state-of-the-art, and the technicians are one of a kind. The student community is lacking cohesion across campuses which is a pity.
