The legacy of Queens is a really good confidence boost and motivation to do well and to succeed. I like how the learning style for my course is very independent but there is also so many people you could contact if you’re struggling. The student union makes it easier to meet people, and has good food and a bar and the shop so literally everything we could need. The pantry is a great thing to have also. The only critic i have for my experience so far is the random allocation of flat mates, it didn’t work out for me so maybe a forum before uni where we can mention our hobbies and interests and the type of person we are so we are better matched with flat mates!

I don’t have too many contact hours , which i find great! it allows me to plan my day and get the best from my uni experience.

My halls were not cleaned prior to moving in which kind of ruined the excitement of move in day. I have nothing in common with my flat mates and have not bonded with them at all. I like the big desk and storage space , and obviously love my own bathroom. The bathrooms are very very tiny which make showering quite difficult

It is a great place to study as it is a large research output university and there is a lot of amazing work to be part of. There is also a lot of support from the senior academics. There is, however, a lack of community within the university which can make it quite an isolating place.

The course conent is really interesting and provided by leading experts in the field which is exciting. The tutors are friendly and easy to contact and happy to have meetings to support the students as much as they need. The facilities within the school are slightly outdated.
