A massive draw for me was the amazing sports facilities at the university of Nottingham (UON) ; the multi-million pound David Ross sports centre equipped with its own pool, climbing wall, gym and sports halls. Furthermore, if you are living in UON owned halls then you receive a free membership to the David Ross centre. There are many sports societies available, The Campus is also beautiful- it's very green and full of wildlife such as rabbits and even has it's own lake. The Campus is also situated next to the stunning Wollaton Park and there are excellent transport links into town via the bus or tram which only take around 20 minutes. The university puts a lot of effort into student experiences: the Residential life team run lots of free social events for those living in university halls. Academic wise I find my lecturers engaging and am satisfied with the broad range of module choices available to me. My only negative feedback is that I am doing a joint honours degree but only have a personal tutor from my lead department so sometimes it's hard for me to know who to approach when struggling with questions from my other topic. Overall I am extremely glad that I chose to study at the University of Nottingham.

I am satisfied with the broad choice of modules available for my course. I find my lecturers very engaging and the best part about my course is how enthusiastic my Philosophy lecturers are. I also like how my philosophy lectures are somewhat interactive and we can give opinions/discuss the philosophical viewpoints we are studying. My only negative point is I study philosophy and Psychology but do not have a Psychology personal tutor or any Psychology seminars and I think having these would increase my understanding of lecture content/give me someone to approach if I was struggling with Psychology.

I love my accommodation (Dagfa Park), it is modern, spacious and well located. The accommodation team are excellent, the property is well maintained and kept secure. Furthermore, I am impressed with the accommodation team at Nottingham because I was easily able to move accommodation when I was struggling in my original flat. They also offer payment plans to make things easier for each student where you can pay monthly if you are struggling to pay in large chunks each semester.

The student union team are great and have worked so hard especially Joe - mooch open mic nights are amazing with your help! Facilities are great except jubilee gym is a bit rubbish and all the gym facilities are over crowded and over subscribed. Location is great but transport isn’t cheap to get to location.

Third year courses are taught superbly. Only issue is my tutor isn’t great and doesn’t respond to emails or does the absolute minimum when i ask for support. The quality is usually really good but then you get some lecturers who just read of the PowerPoint or don’t explain things very well. More blended learning with kahoot and padlet could be good for learning.

Management has improved since I was there. The wifi in my room was really bad and always crashed though.
