I love that there are so many different places to study and how there is always something going on. I love exploring events and stalls and going to career events. I feel like there are so many opportunities available at all times. I have, however, had some issues that have now been sorted. For example, I was told on the first day that a module I had applied for was oversubscribed as more people applied than was thought and they could not increase the cap. Their solution? Randomly allocate places. I was not given a place despite a number of factors and so I sent an email to state that I was not okay with the situation nor the University's mistake and they wrote back saying they had made room for me on the course. There has also been some issues with microphones but when I told my tutor of the issue he was incredibly proactive and it is in the process of being sorted so this is definitely a negative turned positive as I felt so heard and am very happy it was taken seriously!

I love some of my lecturers as they are super clear, set lots of practice questions and other resources and I truly feel like I am learning and also being prepared for our exams. However, for my introduction to clinical psychology module they have been bringing in different guest lecturers (specialists) to deliver each lecture. I initially thought this would be great but many of the lecturers tend to rant about their own research and have little idea the content we need for our exams. I asked one lecturer if her research focus (ketamine) that she spoke about for the majority of the lecture could come up in our January exams. Her response was "probably not" followed by something along the lines of "I don't think any of this will come up" which was followed by something like "Oh well I guess it will" This is very concerning for me as a student as I do not feel supported in this module at all by these different lecturers as it is a new teaching style each week and I do not know which content is relevant
