best aspects - the best aspects of the uni are that it is very spacious and everyone is very friendly, we all look out for each other. worst aspects - sometimes the communication from lecturers is poor and they have been known to have some organisation issues, for example constantly changing timetable hours

we have some contact with lecturers but lots are not good at answering emails. we have lectures with adult and mental health nurses and sometimes us childrens nurses feel as though we get forgotten about or disregarded.

I feel well-supported by my lecturers/tutors and the facilities are fantastic. The student union has improved massively over the past year, especially with the addition of a student union building which helps a lot with socialising. The location of my campus in Eastbourne at the moment is the only downside as the travel costs add up and it is quite a far commute if you have one lecture, however, they are officially moving the campus in 2025 to Brighton, which will massively improve the course.

This course is fantastic if you want a career in midwifery, it provides opportunities such as international placement which allow students, like myself, to explore and embrace different cultures and attitudes towards maternity care. Brighton, specifically, encourages holistic care for women/birthing people which has been proven several times to have empowering birth outcomes. All the lecturers bring their own speciality, so are able to help you explore any specific interests you may have.

Great Wilkins always made me feel safe and welcomed. The facilities such as washing machines, dryers, iron, ironing board, kettle, microwave were all great additions and made you feel as though you got value for money. The only thing was the location, as you are a bus/train ride away from the city which could make you feel a bit isolated. However, with the number of events put on by the manager of the halls, this was not an issue.
