Great location which gives access to a multitude of shops, friendly community, lecturers tend to be friendly and engaging, easy and quick access to a library with vast resources. There are frequent events and opportunities to gain insight into future prospects and job opportunities. Information is often provided in a timely manner. Now onto improvements. In terms of lecture materials, these could be improved upon for certain modules with PowerPoints clearly labelled and uploaded onto the university student website (MyPlace) in a timely manner. It would also be very beneficial for the university to record lectures and make these available to all students, which can be accessed if a student is unwell or has personal circumstances preventing them from attending a lecture. Please also make sure every lecturer knows how to use a PowerPoint... Facilities for extracurricular activities, particularly in the musical field, need to be improved. There are societies, such as the piano society, that often do not even have access to the limited number of pianos at the university.

LLB Law (Hons) Criminal Law and Evidence - this module is arguably the most interesting. Not only are the lecturers engaging, they provide relevant information, upload PowerPoints in a timely manner and also provide online lectures going over the materials for each week, making resources more accessible for people who are unable to make it to lectures due to personal circumstances. Law of Persons - it was made clear form the beginning that this was a new course that was introduced. Although the content is not particularly interesting, in my opinion, the lecturers do provide relevant information and also direct students towards the recommended readings that build upon understanding the materials in the lecture. However, it is inevitable for different lecturers to have different teaching styles. For this module, some lecturers (although interesting) do not always provide clear, simple, relevant and accessible information for PowerPoints, making it hard to take notes in lectures as well as actually understanding information, sometimes making a lecture less useful. Nevertheless, this module has been okay due to the teaching methods of the lecturers. Legal Processes and Systems - for me, this module is meant to serve as the fundamental pillars of understanding the law and how it works. Is it taught well... not particularly. The lecturers in this module have varied teaching styles. Some may follow the PowerPoint and add little to the substance, some are enthusiastic about the subject and are engaging and others tend to not provide sufficient resources such as PowerPoints to follow the lecture as well as not have a good structured way of teaching, making lectures hard to follow and, in some cases, pointless. This module also has it's positives though, for example, there are frequent guest lecturers from individuals that are working in the legal field, for example, High Court Judges, Sheriffs and people working in Legal Aid. These talks were insightful as to what it will be like working in the legal field and also provides guidance into what area of law students would like to pursue. Overall, out of all the modules I have taken so far, this module is the one that needs to be improved upon the most, especially given that it serves to provide students with the fundamental basics of the legal system and how it works...
