Strathclyde is an amazing place to study. Not only is course content detailed and engaging, the lectures go above and beyond to make learning enjoyable. Additionally they are always on hand and willing to help and support you in any way they can. Student feedback is always taken into consideration no matter what this is regarding, it makes you feel like a real part of the community they have created knowing you are listened to. The people you meet along the way of your studies can become friends for life as you are always given opportunities to work with your peers which is another amazing aspect of studying at Strathclyde. The campus is phenomenal and while some buildings are tricky to navigate your way around, you get there in the end. The new Union and learning and teaching building are wonderful additions to an already great campus. They bring a modern feel to some of the outdated buildings and the facilities with them are great for utilising as study spaces or hanging out with friends. Overall, being a part of Strathclyde is something that will stay with you for life, for all the right reasons.

In person teaching is really important to this course and it makes all the difference. With both lectures and tutorials you are always kept busy and social policy recommend 180 hours of self study time per semester to accommodate all required readings and assessments. Lectures for both education and social policy are engaging, dedicated and incredibly knowledgeable on their chosen subjects. I have found all staff to be caring, friendly and approachable and it truly feels as thought they take a personal interest in each of their students and root for you to succeed. There are so many materials available both online and in the library to facilitate your learning and resources for all classes are made widely available.

There are great facilities and student support is impressive. The people of the city are friendly, and welcoming.

The placement is not as probable as they promised when I was applying. The content is good, but it has a lot of aspects to improve.
