Not a course for people who want to be in lectures all day or having lots of contact hours but that suit is me fine because i can get out a journal or a book and sit in the comfy seats in the library all day preparing for my essays and assignments!

I love this university. The professors are knowledgeable and push you to do your best, but are also very understanding. The campus is lovely and has lots of great spaces for studying. However, as an older student and single mum, there was little to no support for my situation. Evening classes were difficult to attend, exam times and classes often overlapped with school drop off or pickup times. Also, administrative issues/visa sponsorship was a bit of a mess. The family housing on campus was full before I even got my acceptance letter. I love the University of York and hope to pursue my PhD here, as well, but there is virtually no support built in administratively or otherwise for students who are parents.

The professors are excellent and I enjoyed the lectures. I would have liked a bit more support in going over when/how to do a PhD and career opportunities after.
