Nice and convenient campus just located in the Nottingham city area. Loads of facilities and resources provided to support my studies and it just made my life so much easier. Tutors are great, all of them are very supportive and patient. Also would like to give credits to all the technicians in the workshop, they are truly helpful and inspiring as well. Lots of places for studying too! Besides the boots library, there are study spaces all around the campus, every building has some kinds of study spaces, most of them got sofas and desks so you can also just chill between classes! The only annoying thing is sometimes it too much noise and I cannot focus, then I will just move to the boots library where provides silent zones.

It is hybrid blended learning experience for my course, I would say its 80% time in-class alongside 20% online seminar and lecture classes. I am a second-year student, and I normally have 3 days in-class and one online seminar per week, or even none. So I have time to catch up my uni work and also explore some other things, I am taking a German language course with NTU for example. Tutors are great, all of them are very supportive and patient! They also react to my emails very quickly and get my problems sorted in an efficient way. I would like to give credits to all the technicians in the workshop, they are truly helpful and inspiring as well.

I was staying at student hall (Gill Street North) in my first year, it is a sharing flat with en-suite rooms. I like the fact that I can keep my privacy while having chances to interact with other students in the common area. And the most important thing is about the location, it is literally just a few minute’s walk to campus! It is just a life saver when it comes to early morning classes. Also very impressive with the staffs there, all friendly and helpful.

It’s a great place to study because it is so close to the main city with easy access to everything and a great library with lots of spaces to do and do work, great course that is led out to be hard and challenging yet really helps make you work ready for industry level, the only thing I think could be improved is support for the students that maybe never fitted in from day one, the ones who never found a group and feel out of place at uni, these students tend to drop out early stages of the course because even though the course might be right they aren’t happy personally, I was one of those students the only reason I stuck with my course is because I love it and can’t wait to have a career in fashion one day, but the lonely personal life has made it so hard, I know there are things like joining societies and going out and meeting others on your course but some people like me, still struggle to make friends even through all that I guess what I’m saying is maybe more mandatory personal meetings with members of staff outside of your course to go round everyone and easier access to counselling, cause there are so many students struggling but really don’t know how to ask. I did prefer the online learning during lockdown but only because I was too anxious at the beginning and still now to go into studio but I do get so much work done when I go in, their year there is mostly just independent study so not much time with the tutors and we normally only get 20 mins slots on Thursdays and it’s normally only for specific things there is so much more I’d need help with but can’t really ask due to how much time we have. But the way it is led out makes sense so everyone gets seen to so I do understand.

-there’s lots of great cafes and restaurants, just nowhere really if you are on a budget living in a city with high rent everything is so expensive. -but it is really safe and most people are really friendly and willing to help one another out.

It was a new build at the time and it was really nice space but everything was half finished and had more problems than most accom. My experience was mostly bad on my own account because I chose an accom almost an hour and half away from my campus by accident and it made my first year very isolated and lonely
