A wonderful welcoming atmosphere that will make you forget about homesickness. Easy to integrate and even be familiar with lecturers. The accommodation is top notch albeit expensibe; but you get your money's worth

Hogwarts-esque buildings, amazing nightlife and plenty of student support, Bangor University is an amazing place to study and experience the Welsh culture. With clubs and societies ranging from Quidditch to American Football, along with a student-led night helpline and lecturers who are never too busy, students feel supported but not smothered.

As a Type 1 Diabetic, I need a fair amount of support in case I miss lectures and/or exams. Bangor University offers all the help it can give me and their 24 hour student support run by students for students, Nightline, provides extra help with any little problems a student may face.

City life in Bangor is always brimming with opportunities, from Varsity nightclub, Revive, Peep and Academi, there's always something to do on a night out. The city is full of shops allowing student discounts and even if you just want to hang out with friends at a cafe, Bangor has a range on offer.

The lecturers are enthusiastic about their subjects and, as a joint honours undergraduate, understand that I may have a lot on my plate occasionally. The courses and modules are relevant and full of interesting information that expand your knowledge beyond high school level
