University of Chester is a very welcoming place especially for international students. Ever since I come here, I never once feel excluded. Everyone is super nice and will try their best to help the students out. They also prioritise your mental health so if you are struggling with something, you can reach out to any of the services provided and they will help you immediately! This university helps me to feel belong. Things that they could improve is the check-in attendance and also providing bike and scooter to make it easier students to go to their main campus.

The course is quite balanced in terms of online class and in-class. The schedule is also not packed which makes it easier for students to divide their time accordingly. Most of the lecturers are nice and always willing to help the students out. However, subjects like English classes for first-year students are quite unnecessary since they only taught the same method such as subjects like TM4027.

The University of Chester has a really wide range of courses, not many other universities offered my course, and they have a range of combined courses. Despite my course being more uncommon, the content is thorough and the lecturers are amazing. We have a range of content-based lectures and hands-on workshops and seminars that really consolidate my learning. There are loads of resources ready to use on campus and staff are always really accommodating. The campus' themselves are beautiful, I primarily spend time on the business campus, which even has its own gardens, library and Starbucks! Main campus is a hub, there's always student support or something to do (I really enjoy going to the Student Union Bar or watching the football games on the pitches). The only thing is that the business campus is a bit out of town, maybe a 20 minute walk across the river, but it's a pretty walk! Chester itself is a beautiful city, but I really think it's perfect for students. It's big enough to not get bored and there's always new places to go, but it's not an overwhelming big city center. I always feel safe in Chester, my parents are confident with me being here too as it's such a safe city. On busy nights out there are volunteers to help people who might need it and there is even a free hot drinks stand by the cathedral. You could walk from one side of Chester to the other in about 30 minutes so nothing is too far away, Liverpool and Manchester are less than an hour on the train so if you want a change it's not too far either. In short, I'm so glad I came to Chester. I love my course and my lecturers are great, I feel safe in the city and I'm never bored, and genuinely enjoy going to uni and being on campus.

My course is taught fully on campus, I have 8 hours of contact time a week with my lecturers. In lectures, we normally break the content up into sections and do activities to make sure we understand. I normally don't like group work and things like that, but it's always a very relaxed environment and the lecturers are happy to help, they really want you to understand and do well. It's a really positive learning environment for me. We also do workshops and writing huddles, where we work on assignments in class so we can ask one another or the lecturer for help if we need it - I think these are really helpful. My course is quite small, I think there's around 10 students. On our core modules we really get to debate and work together on the content, and in bigger classes we work with other business students and it can help get different perspectives. I don't think any of my classes have more than 30-35 people in. This also gives you opportunity to talk to your lecturers and you can build up a relationship with them. I also want to shout out my PAT, he's great. Any time we need a catchup or to go over anything at all he is so accommodating and you always feel welcome in his office.
