The library and study area facilities are fantastic. Though extra stock of some print books would be good. Some lectures are engaging and exciting. Others feel as though we’re just having a PowerPoint read to us, which doesn’t incentivise students to attend. Correspondence between academic advisors and attendance and administrative staff could be improved. As someone registered with a disability and chronic pain, I can’t always attend the lectures but have frequent contact with my academic advisor and she knows I’m engaged in the course. Getting emails from administrative staff saying otherwise just adds to an already overwhelming situation.

Some of the lecturers were really interesting, especially with John Hills and Di Conroy. They both added a lot of information and experience to their lectures, whilst making it fun and accessible. We also had one session in 3rd year that was done in collaboration with the Arts department, more of this would have been fantastic. On the flip side, some lectures we found that we were just having a PowerPoint read out to us. Students gave feedback to reps at one point, and the staff member didn’t take it too well. Perhaps it would be better to have online sessions for lectures like this? For those commuting it often feels like a wasted trip. Lecturers are always happy to help and usually respond within 48 hours.

The location of the city campus is really nice as a student as there’s lots of food and shopping places near by for when you’re on breaks and helps if you wanna explore more places around city. The only thing is with the campus since it’s in the city and it’s surrounded by main roads it can be hard to find somewhere outside to chill about

The course has had a lot of guest lecturers come in, such as psychiatrists, which helps us know more about potential career paths and what it’s like working within a mental health sector. The course does involve a lot of information to process so can be hard to understand without more resources

It can be quite pricey with the room along with the prices for the washing machines within the accommodation, as the little things can add up. Lots of facilities are in the accommodation though such as gyms which make it great to do in spare time
