There are plenty of libraries for study. The university is in an ideal location with easy access to public transportation, nearby delicious food, and close proximity to the city centre. So far, I have not encountered any bad uni experience with UoN.

All of my modules are delivered in-class. The course schedule is good, and Moodle has all the resources you need for coursework and review. Lecturers are easy to approach as well. My course has not given me any bad experiences.

The city is not as crowded as London. There are pubs, restaurants, and even bubble tea there—everything a student needs. It is also safe for student to live in.

The general freshers experience was good and settling in was very easy. Student disability support has been very good for dyslexia but other student support services have lacked. The campuses are well presented and easy to navigate but some of the facilities could be improved. Not all of my lecture rooms are fit for purpose however the teaching quality is still good and the practical aspects of my course have exceeded my expectations. This wasn’t my first choice university however the education has been good so far and the work to life balance is very fulfilling.

As someone with contact hours 9-5 every weekday it can seem overwhelming at times but the course is well structured to avoid too much pressure and my coursemates are all very approachable. All of my education is in person which is fantastic and online resources are always there for extra support material. Lecturer response time has always been good and my personal tutor is excellent. Despite this, some feedback on work has lacked detail leading to confusion on how to improve.

Although I chose my accommodation through my university, it is actually owned by a private company. This has been a great choice of accommodation as when comparing my halls with friends, I have the best possible living conditions at a cheaper price than my peers. My room is an ensuit and I share a kitchen with 4 others. The accommodation is well maintained and any maintenance issue I have had sorted quickly. The block is key carded and the building is gated so safety is a major advantage. The university do not allow a free sport membership for students at my accommodation which is a disadvantage as it limits the fitness opportunities but this is purely as it’s classes as ‘off site accommodation’. My walk to campus is 20 minutes and it’s a very pleasant journey where all roads are pedestrianised - there is a bus too. The journey into the city centre is also quick and efficient so overall it’s the best location I could have picked.
