The campus is very green and is just a beautiful place to study and work. There is a really good balance between socialising and work, I’m able to balance playing sport and meeting up with friends with my studies, not having to compromise on much. The lecturers are very helpful and they generally explain things well, although the pastoral and careers support through our tutors could be improved. Generally I am very glad I chose to study here in Nottingham, and would recommend it to anyone looking to achieve highly in both their career and at the same time be able to have a thriving social life and overall good work life balance.

My course is mostly taught in person but a lot of revision material and courseworks are completed online in my own time. Personally I enjoy this balance of contact time and independence to work how best suits me. In terms of the tutor program, I don’t feel my tutor provides enough support or guidance on future career prospects or methods of navigating learning on this course in general. Not for lack of contact time, we meet every 2 weeks with our tutor, although I don’t feel they are very engaged in my learning or really provide any extra value to my degree and career prospects.

It was very close to campus, but also had Beeston just down the road for shops and groceries. There was a key card system for getting through the gate which locked once you were through which made me feel very safe. The quality of furniture and the bathrooms and kitchen were overall very good and almost brand new for my year so there was no mould or decay really at all. My room was spacious and clean, and only shared a bathroom with 1 other person which worked well.

Student Services is very slow to respond and often loose documents

Teachers are engaging and enthusiastic Course is too predominantly exam based when the real word applications would be more coursework based
