Best experiences are probably the social aspect, especially of catered halls on campus, you get to know so many people. The facilities are good but more space is needed in libraries and study spaces really. When I was in catered the prices were very reasonable although they have gone up though. The quality of teaching is excellent and I don't have a bad word to say about it. The lab facilities could be better, they aren't as good as the University of Birmingham's facilities for example. An upgrade is needed but the campus is limited for space. Overall it's a very fun, social and respected institution, it could be improved by making it cheaper for students, compensating students affected by COVID and ensuring there is enough student accommodation for all those it teaches. This is only guaranteed in 1st year.

Facilities are great but could be improved. I would of liked more tutor time, this was particularly affected by COVID. The teaching quality is excellent and extremely up to date and relevant to industry. The placement team are also excellent in helping students acquire work.

Great, not too close to the city

The halls are fairly old but pretty well kept. The rooms could be bigger. The food halls are always packed at dinner time and the food could be a lot better, but this is the same for most university catered accommodation. As the halls are owned and run by the university the security and benefits to living on campus are great. I'd highly recommend staying in catered halls 1st year!

-Campus is beautiful and an amazing environment to study in -Student life is great with loads of societies and events to get involved with -Great location with the town just a bus/tram ride away -Excellent library facilities and areas to study to facilitate different ways of studying e.g. group work, solo study

-All in person lectures, recorded and posted on Moodle for all to access -Laboratories in state of the art facilities, maybe use them a few times a month -Lecturers with open door policy allowing you to visit them any time to ask questions, they are also very responsive to emails -Very demanding course there is a lot of work you have to put in compared to other degrees -A lot of group work from day dot, getting you used to the professional life after university -About 20 hours contact time - lecture hours, time outside of that used for coursework and group work

-Good location close to Lidl, Town and Uni -Good transport links, UNITE bus goes to uni park campus -Close to Jubilee campus -Maintenance are great and always quickly fix problems -No problems with wifi -Security on watch at night
