It’s a good university with great facilities and strong lecturers on the arts side, but it’s lacking in socials and events. The societies sometimes feel abandoned, with inactive Instagram pages and Discords. Because of that, many LBU students end up hanging out with the societies at the University of Leeds, which are much more active and well-organised. Eating options are also very limited, and even if there are some, I still haven’t found any student kitchens on the city campus.

The course is great, but having 8 hours of classes every week is a bit intimidating since it’s a master’s program and we’re learning complex software like Unreal Engine, Wwise, and Unity. There are game design and development courses, but we don’t have any collaboration opportunities or shared classes. I was also expecting more on the social side, since there are no events or anything to help people from different courses get to know each other.

I love the connectivity and the facilities that they provide. The events being organized and unions. I would want them to work more on the clarity of exactly how to do things.
