Learn to design and develop impressive audio that fully immerses players in the modern video game experience with this hands-on sound and music design course. As part of this course, you'll: Gain the most up-to-date skills in sound design and interactive composition as you explore the importance of music and sound in a range of media Build your appreciation of the practical and theoretical issues associated with the design, development and management of audio for games Critically analyse information relating to sound and music for interactive games as you develop your experience and skills Learn to solve advanced problems and make autonomous decisions in complex situations Communicate a range of information and content in appropriate formats, reflecting both scholarly and professional contexts Demonstrate your originality and synthesis when applying theory and techniques to projects throughout the course Use reflective strategies to develop and evaluate your self-managed learning and professional practice Be part of a supportive community, engaging in critical debate with classmates and giving and receiving peer feedback.

Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree in the cognate subjects of Music, Music Production or Audio Technology, at least a second class honours degree in a non-cognate subject supported by evidence of an aptitude for the subject applied for, or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment.
