When you come to UOG, you feel welcomed. You feel like you matter, you’re not just a number, just a tuition payee. You build relationships with your peers, your lecturers, technicians, even the lunch lady! On the other hand, I’m not happy with how UOG is spending their money. Some courses get more attention, equipment and space when others don’t. Good staff are leaving because they’re underpaid and under appreciated. Instead of buying a campus for literally 3 courses out of dozens, maybe they should reward their staff and strive to bring more quality lecturers so that courses that have been going down can pick themselves up before their bad reputation is solidified.

I am lucky to have chosen an amazingly structured course lead by an amazing course leader. I am learning tonnes of valuable skills and I have the space to do my own thing.

I always feel safe in Cheltenham and never bored. I just with there were more free public outside sports facilities for the community. As a roller skater, there are very few places in Cheltenham I can practice since I need a smooth surface, like in the car park buildings. Not even skate parks there have ideal surface for any type of skating

There were quite a few incidents. Once there was a guy with a machete going around and he was able to get into the inner area because the gates weren’t locked. Originals had the weirdest architecture of a spiral staircase in the centre with all the rooms around them. Yes, you’re guessing right, all the rooms were triangular. Whoever designed those buildings has a special place in hell. The other buildings are amazing but super overpriced in my opinion. The main building has a great bar, study lounge and a cheap gym but the cafeteria was irregularly open and stocked so what’s the point of having it? Halls was a great place to meet various people which is why I agreed to the ridiculous price. It was a great experience but I wouldn’t go back and by the end of the year I was happy to finally move out of there.

I have good experience with my tutors and supervisors so far and they all have been very supportive throughout the journey. There is nothing in particular which I find worst in my university.

I am a doctorate students so for me best thing is support from my supervisor. Which I am getting.
