Best experience - many societies and daily/ seasonal events to participate in - easy commute to travel by public transport - varied food and drink options - friendly staff and supportive lecturers Worst experience - Sometimes difficult to navigate around campus to reach 'awkward' rooms. - as SU staff, we do not get discounts in the main store where we are most likely to shop - main store prices have increased and am put off by the prices of basic cooking ingredients.

Best experiences - supportive and insightful lecturers throughout the course as a whole - varied interactive ways of teaching - engaging course content - easy to reach out for support from personal tutors and lecturers Worst experiences - The 'How to Succeed' guidance for assignments was not always clear and made it difficult for me to understand the expectations of the assignment - in Year 1 there were less uses of blended learning, which made it a bit more difficult to understand the course content. - the switch from paper work to online 'Epad' placement documentation in year 2 was challenging as it was a bit more complex navigating to use the software and it had constant bugs, interrupting my ability to sign off or upload placement documentation.

Value for money: The rent for this accommodation was quite pricey and due to this, I had to be very tight with my finances. Room allocation - the accommodation was a 5 minute walk from lecture buildings and the main campus, which made it easier to commute to. However, the room in this accommodation was on the top floor and I notified the University ahead, to let them know I have asthma. It was difficult to walk up, especially with shopping.

The best has been the range of nationality friends that I Have made at Essex , the diversity is amazing. My course and the hands on experince they provide us on placments and during term time. The worst would probably be the virtual learning in first year because I missed that social interaction with other students and wasn't able to use the uni facilities to their full potential.

One great thing about my course is the size of the classes which allows us to have a more personal relationahip with each other and our lecutrers. We are encouraged to speak our minds and to question. We are also given the opportunity to go on practice placement to widen our knowledge and understadning of the services we will one day be working in.

The estate team were amazing at coming to fix things if they we broken or needed to be fixed. The cleaning staff were friendly. Towers was great becuase you have a larger number of people to chose from when making friends. They arent the newest but still are fit for purpose.
