I enjoy going to the university. The Forum is a great place to collaborate and work with my peers. It also helps to connect with various groups of people and students. The tutors are very supportive and the student union has been very helpful regarding all my concerns.

Its a great place to build connections and provides us with a great exposure

Its very lively because there is always something going on. The SU makes sure to entertain students along with studies. However, even though my degree is technical and is supposed to teach me things practically, the content I study is mostly theoretical and outdated.

As I mentioned earlier its supposed to be practical and not just talk theory. My interest has to be increased with actual industry mentors. The course is very nice but Essex isn't teaching it how it is supposed to be taught. A complex CS module like Big Data is taught by someone who doesn't even know Python. So how will we become better in it ? The instructors are not that technically sound or industry professionals who made something in the field.
