The University provides a scenic on campus accommodation, it has a central area where students can go for walks and I like how the accommodations are organized. The Learning Resources Center is located near the accommodations which makes it a lot easier for students who mostly stay on campus. Support and the Student Union can be easily found by the Forum where the main bus stop is so students have easy access to it as well as a Cafe, shops and bar all close together. Societies are one of the main extracurricular activities to look out for as it promotes togetherness and encourages people to join clubs, there is always something for every individual. The teachers in my course are absolutely lovely and they never hesitate to help students who may be struggling, they may also scout out those who are lagging behind and encourages for extra support sessions which are really helpful. What is most difficult to get used to is navigating around campus, if you were new it's very difficult to find the right building and room. The main campus is big and there are many buildings for different courses. Luckily there is an app that provides navigation around campus, but it can be tricky to use at first. Another problem are the busses, sometime they get canceled or are delayed and it can be frustrating if you're on your placement. The second campus provides a much more relaxed and quiet living if you're not a party person. The LRC is also close to the accommodations and shops are just across the street. There's also a gym with a swimming pool next to the Cafe area.

Adult nursing is a demanding course and it can take a lot of time, mental and physical fortitude. From my experience, the learning aspect is the best part, taking part in simulations, working with other students, taking part in projects can be fun. There are some modules that are not as easy to get a grasp on but the lecturers are all happy to help. On the other hand, nursing can also be taxing on you, with placement, waking up early, and working a couple days a week is exhausting. There are also times where you, as a student, can feel neglected as most of the time mentors are too busy. There is also the fact that you will be working with different types of patients and work with other professionals and family members which can be very overwhelming if you are a first year, but at the end of the day you get to experience and learn a lot of things. As I had started when the pandemic was at its peak, lessons were mostly taught online, and it didn't feel very interactive at all. But now that the majority is face to face, you can make easy connections with other students and within a few days you can make many friends within the course.

The main campus halls are expensive but you do get bigger rooms depending on which you're allocated to. Although when choosing a room, it is not always guaranteed and sometimes you may even be disappointed at what you get. The prices are a bit high on some, for example with my current room being a shared shower room, costing around 7k to 8k, sometimes the heaters would also shut down leaving you freezing at night. What I would recommend are the halls in Dehav where you get a small ensuite room with a mini fridge! If you're not bothered by the size of the room then it would be perfect, the price is also way cheaper than the ones on the main campus.
