The best aspect to the University of Sheffield is the location. It is an ideal place to live, the University is located just outside of the city and just a stone throws away from the Peak district. It has everything a student could need. Additionally, the student life here is amazing. A unique array of societies provides something to do for everyone. A few of the buildings may be considered a little out of date, but personally I think they provide a nice blend of traditional and modern facilities for everyone to have somewhere they enjoy studying.

The course content for medicine is well structured. It consists of lectures, small group learning, and placement. The lecturers are very approachable and always appreciate further questions and interest in their area of expertise. The University of Sheffield is a prime location for Medicine, with many specialist facilities and experts in their field working and teaching here at the University.

When I was in student halls we were able to select our specific room and building and provide a description of yourself for others to see. This allowed me to find friends early on, making contact via social media and finding people who do the same course as me and people with similar interests, which was an amazing feature when moving to a new city. The campus always felt very safe with a campus security always available. The student halls are located in their own village, so it felt very safe knowing you were surrounded only by other students. The cost of halls at the University are a little expensive (Derwent was one of the most expensive at the time) for the Sheffield area, but were definitely worth it.

Friendly atmosphere support always there but very little study spaces! Library always gets too full to find a seat

Really engaging and informative with a lot of different lecturers but days can be quite long with back to back lectures for a long time
