I love studying at Canterbury Christ Church. The facilities and area it is in are clean and pleasant. It is close by to the train station and buses so people can commute. There is nothing bad to say about Christ Church.

I love my classes and I always look forward to going. The lecturers are always happy to help and are quick at replying to emails. They give constructive criticism when needed and this helps me as a student to improve my work and learn from experience.

I missed out on the fresher's fayre at the start of the year due to sickness and anxiety so would've been nice to have more opportunities for it. I haven't properly looked into the student union so i don't have much of an opinion on it but it seems it'd be useful, I have joined an esports society which has been fun. I'd say the main things that bother me is the current time table for my lectures, 8 hours Monday and 4 hours Friday, and the student accommodation i.e. Fire alarm going off really often, unfair or inconsistent cleaning inspections. I've got really lucky with my flatmates with only one getting on my nerves but he's moved to a different uni now. I do think the university could tell us where we can use student discounts as well, which I'm doing as part of one of my projects. The course itself has ups and downs, somedays I feel mentally unmotivated or if I'm sick I might not go in which causes me to end up a fair bit behind, I am enjoying it but it can get a bit much, especially doing 8 hours of it in a day. The town is amazing though, I haven't fully explored it but I've been around and there's tons of variety and choices in shops, restaurants etc, I'm not one for landmarks or sentimental things like that but the cathedral is also there which some people like.

The course is taught in person which I like and don't like, I would be much more comfortable with online sessions as I have social anxiety but it is useful for gaining more confidence. The lectures are recorded and posted online for later which we can access. We get 8 hours on Monday and 4 hours on Friday which is unusual as everyone in my flat has lectures in other courses daily but in 2 hour bursts. They're trying to organise contact with lecturers outside of lectures, like organised days to discuss the projects, at the minute though it's just via email. I haven't fully integrated with the equipment we have access to but I'm aware that there are a lot of options both physical and digital with a pro creative cloud account giving access to all adobe apps. The mac suite is decent but the computers can go fairly slow so having your own laptop has its advantages still but the lecturers are more used to working with Macs so key commands and whatnot will be more familiar to them.

So I'm personally paying £150 weekly, same as my flatmates, but we have differing sized rooms despite it being listed as 'ensuite large'. I've been quite fortunate and gotten a large room which I'm loving but it is a bit misleading. The main benefits to me personally is being so close to everything like an Aldis and a barber just 2 mins away, the main downside is being as far away from my course building as possible on campus, but even then its only a 15-20 minute walk. As I mentioned previously they do inspections of the kitchen every other week and termly room inspections, these inspections vary drastically, when they inspected my room they barely even came in and when they inspected the kitchen and it was fairly messy they gave it a green (pass) - but more recently with the kitchen being inspected close to spotless they gave us a Red (3 reds and they bring a cleaner in with a fee) with there being 3 colours indicating cleanliness it felt unfair to give us a red and adds this unnecessary stress to it of uncertainty.
