Academic input high, lecturers all enthusiastic about their area and knowledgeable about recent developments. Job prospects post graduation high, 90% after 6 months. Student Union small and spread over multiple campus' - could do with improvement and investment to engage students and provide more social opportunities.

Library books (specifically for Education) can be a little out of date, but ebooks in Education and Nursing are updated fairly frequently.

Small city living, easy to get everywhere and everything you need nicely contained. Will have a Primark opening Autumn 2015, lots of independent shops, plenty of pubs and restaurants.

Predominantly sports clubs, but huge encouragement and support for setting up new clubs and societies.

Some accommodation recently renovated at Lancaster campus - no WiFi in any accommodation there. En-suites not available at Lancaster campus. New accommodation being built at Ambleside campus.

UOC is a great place to study because there is so much passion around the campus - staff and students desire to learn and teach. It has a real friendly feel to the campus, everyone is always smiley and happy to help! The library alone is the best bit - you can request books to be at the desk for pickup sometimes on the same day, which frees up so much time for the ace coffees at the café :) If I could improve one thing about UOC it would be for events to be more commuter-friendly eg socials during the day to avoid back and forth driving for those who commute.

My course is back to face to face which is fantastic - learning is blended perfectly between guided and independent tasks! Contact with lecturers is ideal; emails are reciprocated quickly and help is always available. Our timetable is designed helpfully for those who commute - as sometimes there are days free as seminars have been grouped together on previous day's.
