The fact that nothing was put on for freshers during covid. We really missed out on society stuff. The whole nursing course is kinda designed to make you want to drop out. I think they could make it more doable and enjoyable.

It being online for all of first year and majority of second year was not great. The way it’s designed does not allow for sufficient breaks or holiday especially in the third year. The course content was not what I thought it would be. It was always hard to know what needed to be taken away from lectures (what we needed to remember and know by heart) some of the content was very repetitive and was a bit wish you washy. Once we started to have seminars in person I found it a lot more enjoyable as we could actually meet people and make friends.

I’m terms of value for money I think it was extortionate. Most of our furniture was broken when we moved in. Location was good for nursing students as it is close to LGI, it’s also very close to town which was good. The walk to Uni was one massive hull but still not too far.

best- good location, aesthetically pleasing, lots of activities to do e.g. different fairs, societies etc. Lots of deals for students worst- not always a lot of support for those doing more intense courses such as healthcare

lots of in person teaching so plenty of time to interact with peers and lessons flow smoother when in person compared to online. Modules set out nicely and try to have us in on set days for teaching. Lecturers are easily contactable and respond in a timely manner, always willing to help. Tutor is very helpful and supportive, always having answers and means of support. Could be improved by trying to put placements in term time instead of unsociable times such as summer.
