My time at the University of Leeds has been a fantastic one. I have not only developed in my chosen field of Accounting and Finance but also as a person. University teaches you how to stand on your own feet and look after yourself. At the University of Leeds the support is there for you from personal tutors, professors, specialized student support officers and the friends you make by joining societies. I have had a very well rounded experience at university, the vast quantity of societies on offer is incredible whether your interests lie in sports like mine or in something completely different like debating or even Harry Potter, there is a society and a group of friends/like minded people for everyone. The lecturing on my course has been nothing but outstanding quality, learning from international academics is something I have particularly enjoyed as they can bring in another perspective/angle to the course. From the help and advertisements posted by the careers center I have secured two internships one being in HongKong and the other in The Netherlands plus a graduate job. Thus showing that if you put your mind to it and make the most of the opportunities that are there you truly succeed. I would not hesitate in recommending The University of Leeds to anybody, you will have an incredible time both academically, athletically and socially!!

Fantastic facilities from nightclubs to shops and the great restaurants

Leeds has got to be one of the best student cities in the country, from eating out to nightclubs to shopping and the cinema. There is something here for everyone to enjoy. It is also notable that there are some fantastic student deals nightly so doing what you love does not have to break the bank.

All the lecturers on my course are extremely passionate about the subject they are teaching which transfers to the students, making them want to get involved and read around the subject to do well in exams. I think that it has been very beneficial being lectured to by professors who have both experience in practice and academic studies, thus showing a true picture of what can be done with the skills learnt. Many of the lecturers are also international from many different countries which again spurs motivation as we are getting a wealth of diversity and experience.

If you are focused and make the most out of the expertise that the careers center offer you are likely to graduate with either a job offer or spectacular job prospects
