I personally have managed to have a really good 1st year academically as well as socially. The course hasn’t been too bad and when it’s been hard at times, I’ve been able to contact the dental support team for help and often get swift replies

I’ve only been able to access the limited library spaces which have been very useful for when I can’t seem to work in my bedroom. The online library is extremely good, especially with all the information it provides.

I personally haven’t had to use any personal support services. But, I do know that it is available however it may take a while to actually get appointments with them due to the number of people.

So far it has all been online due to COVID-19 and this has been a mix of live lectures and pre-recorded lectures, mostly the latter. There are mix of lectures per day from 6 to 2, making it a very demanding course. Teaching hours fluctuate but can be between 8:30 and 5:30. I’ve had live meetings with my tutor once per term about how work is going as well as my well being

I’m in 1st year so it hasn’t been explored yet.
