When coming to university make sure you get involved from the beginning because it'll all go so quick! It might take some time to settle but don't be scared by the moving process. Leeds is a great city to be in. When applying to this university speak to people about their experience and make contacts. The admissions team for medicine are lovely and are always happy to help!

There is lots of support available to students who are struggling, and the communication between the university and its students is excellent. The student life is great, owing a lot to the student union with its various social events and venues.

I believe the system of lecture, tutorial/workshop and then assessed questions to be a very good system for me to learn the content of the courses. The quality of the lectures and workshops are very variable however. In my experience I have had amazing tutors that have helped me so much to understand the course, and I have had not so amazing tutors that have not helped very much and I have had to either attend other tutorials or seek help elsewhere. I would therefore recommend that the university train their tutors more, or select them with more care so as to ensure they are providing a good service for the students.
