The university is a great place to study in a historical and beautiful city, with a friendly environment and a staff team that show that they care. The facilities are clean, modern and user-friendly and there is always someone there to help with most matters. Support for students struggling with their course is easy to find and it's especially clear the staff are motivated to help the students succeed. Support on finding accommodation isn't easy to come by, especially for 1st year students unsure of how to go about finding a place for 2nd year.

The lecturers make it obvious that they are very skilled in that area and demonstrate a genuine passion for their job in the way they lecture, teach in classrooms, etc. There are online and face-to-face tutorials available for if you cannot attend university and still need support. Generally, the course is well structured and the timetable if flexible enough that you'd be able to work a job in the meantime. Although, the hours expected from the university to study in their own time can be extensive, to the point where you will have to give up a major amount of time out of your life to study for these courses. While this is a given and people may prefer it that way over guided studying at college or secondary, it can be somewhat of a shock to those just starting university.

The building in general was nice, in a very convenient location and is close to the uni. The facilities within the room were also very convenient and clean upon arrival. The room itself was spacious with the kitchen area also having all the utilities you'd need, provided you brought some of your own too. The walls were pretty thin though, as I could hear the cupboard door slam from in the kitchen every time it closed. This'd be annoying at early hours in the morning. There were frequent fire drills that'd wake me up at 9am every Thursday morning which got annoying very quick.

The staff in my department are so friendly and helpful, the whole campus is small enough that you see the same people around and it’s easy to make friends but also big enough to include so many different kinds of people, the library has so many resources and the staff are so helpful! Overall it’s the best place i could have ever hoped to study at!

The course content is interesting and there’s a wide range of optional modules for every interest, the lecturers are helpful and happy to talk via email or office hours and actually care about the students

The best location (close to uni/shops/supermarkets), en-suite, not a bad price (considering york), overall pretty good
