helpful staff and a nice campus which is easy to navigate as well as big parking

There is overwhelming student support mechanism where you can get bespoke guidance for anything really, from academic stuff, to general stuff that comes with living as a student at the university or in the Colchester Town in general. The culture just blows my mind, contrary to my expectations, i feel at home here! I've been here for 4 months and I can say I have settled really well with support from the University of Essex family

I'm a PhD student hosted under a research institute, my experience has been top tier, I honestly can't complain about anything, if anything my course is everything I anticipated and more. I love it here. My supervisor are invested in my success, I have access to resources I need and there is a lot of support to support my progress in this research journey.

Apart from the view from my window, which is beautiful but not what I would ordinarily choose, I feel the hall is just what I bargained for, it's clean, feels like home, has essential common areas (and also student resident assistants) to support community building, has good bedroom facilities, kitchen facilities, wifi, security.
