The campus at the University of Stirling is one of the most beautiful in the UK. Set amongst 330 acres of stunning green scenery, it is quite simply breathtaking. Recognised as the University for Sporting Excellence, it boasts some of the best sporting facilities around.
There's an on-campus theatre and an art-house cinema as well as restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and an Olympic size swimming pool. Stirling aims to give the best all-round student experience so that you can thrive both academically and socially. Its student union also offers over 120 clubs, societies and sports teams so there really is something for everyone and every passion.

Stirling offers a range of safe modern and spacious accommodation, suitable for different budgets and preferences. All options are single occupancy, with ensuite options. There are over 2,800 rooms on campus or a range of easy to access accommodation off-campus.
As a new undergraduate student, you'll be given priority and will be guaranteed an offer of university-managed accommodation in your first year – just make sure you apply before the deadline.
If you don't fancy staying in uni residences, there are also privately rented accommodation options available. You'll find self-contained flats, houses and private halls in Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh, as well as flat shares and bedsits.
Contract lengths are either 36 weeks or 42 weeks (44 weeks for nurses and paramedics) and prices range from £100- £221 per week depending on type and location. Costs include utilities bills and Wi-Fi.
The Accommodation Operations Assistance team is available 24/7 ready to help with anything you need. There is also a security team and a range of other services, such as the Safe Zone app and the uni's Safe Taxi Scheme to make sure you feel safe and settle in well.

Stirling offers a range of scholarships and bursaries for ambitious students who meet certain criteria.
Scholarships are usually awarded based on academic merit, while bursaries help students in need of financial support. If you are eligible, the funding can go towards your student fees and/or living costs and doesn't need to be paid back.
The Stirling Welcome Scholarship also offers a generous £5,000 cash award to all students from England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. To be eligible, students must meet the conditions of their offer and choose Stirling as their firm choice for Sept 2026.

The University of Stirling offers over 170 undergraduate degree courses and the chance to study flexibly through a number of options. You can try out new areas of interest and combine different subject modules to get a taste of different fields. And, if you're not happy with your current choice, you can always change your mind and graduate in a different area. Some courses can also be studied part-time or online.
Usually, undergraduate courses at Stirling take four years to complete, but sometimes a course will include a placement year, study abroad option or an integrated master's year.
The university has courses spread across five faculties: Arts and Humanities, Health Sciences and Sport, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Management. Each faculty includes multiple departments, institutes and centres meaning cross-discipline collaboration and creativity.

It is top in the country for Tourism, Transport, Travel & Heritage Studies, and has recently been awarded second place for Paramedic Science (Complete University Guide, 2026).
The University of Stirling prides itself on its flexible approach and allows students to create courses that suit their interests by combining modules from a range of subjects with the flexibility to change if needed.

The University of Stirling also has its Welcome Week before the term starts. It offers a great induction to the university and student's union and has many different activities and events to help you build friendships and get off to a good start.
If you're a Scottish-domiciled student studying your first full-time undergraduate degree, you don't have to pay tuition fees, as these are covered by the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS), which pays a standard amount of around £1,820 per year directly to the university.

Stirling is a small historic city in Scotland with a strong student vibe. You can find a lively arts scene and many pubs, restaurants and live music venues. There are iconic sights, like Stirling Castle set on the craggy clifftops, or the National Wallce Monument just outside the city. And when you're feeling active, you'll find the Trossachs National Park offering stunning views, mountains, forests and lochs to explore. Stirling is a popular base for outdoor activities and has close links to Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The city is very easy to get around on foot and is well serviced by local buses which allow you to visit the surrounding areas.
