The Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology open in 2017, founded by Sir James Dyson as a direct response to the shortfall of engineers in Britain. The institute originally awarded its degrees in partnership with the University of Warwick, but in 2021 it became the first alternative provider in the UK to be given degree-awarding powers.
The campus for the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology is based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. It’s an independent higher education provider that is fully integrated with the technology company that shares its name, offering students the chance to engage with real-world product engineering situations alongside looking to the future of engineering.
