I like how close it is to town and how there's lots of study spaces. Also how good the facilities are. What can he improved is maybe the study areas?
I love how diverse it is
Very approachable staff lovely environment
The study rooms are the best thing in the university a private area to study it’s wonderfull.
The worst aspect of uni life is the lack of charger in the uni laptop and sometimes some technical problems in the locksafe.
Lots of facilities provided which is very useful for a student to learn and progress their studies
Great uni
I think I’m really comfortable where I am right now.
Fantastic
Good facilities and food. Happy the with the way things are.
Great experience
The best parts of uni experience is it has got very good facilities like the library, own careers office, lecture theatre, the court room and much more, the worst part is that the lecture classes can sometimes drag, but just make sure you had a good night sleep especially if it is the morning one and always stay focused
There’s so many facilities to help people enjoy their university experience. For those who are scared about their first year and transformation to university, BCU provides a lot of support. This includes thrive tutors who are always available to answer any questions we have or to help us with our essays.
The best part about studying at BCU so far has been the people, and the lecturers who have delivered every lecture with passion and enthusiasm! They have taught me so much and made sure every lecture is interactive and informative and it has truly helped me grow in my passion for nursing. They have also made me feel confident and excited to go out into placement and deliver my care and skills to patients! One thing that could be improved about my university experience is offering more opportunities for students to collaborate across different nursing fields. It would be great to learn from each other and build even stronger multidisciplinary skills.
Birmingham City University is a great place to study because of its practical, career focused teaching and supportive lecturers. The courses are closely linked to industry, which helps build real world skills and confidence, and studying in Birmingham offers strong opportunities for work, placements, and networking. One area for improvement would be communication around assessments and admin, as this can sometimes feel unclear or last minute. More structured career and placement support earlier in the course would also improve the overall experience.
The best aspects of the university that I can think of is the inclusivity and diversity of the faculty. There are various was students are support and the environment is very welcoming. In terms of improvement I think responses from different departments need to be improved for when a student seeks support from those different departments like if a student contacts wellbeing or financial assistance department, response times are key because we don’t know how severe the situation is for the student.
I think the fact that it is in the heart of Birmingham is great and the diversity is also nice. As a Pakistani woman I feel really at home. Despite this I do feel like there are some students who shouldn’t have been let in due to their lack of passion for the subject. Furthermore I feel as though some teachers do the bare minimum in teaching their subjects and there is a lack of passion as well as a lack of knowledge in certain subjects.
The university has great facilities, from cheap meal deals and snacks to training facilities for all subjects. BCU is highly inclusive for all people from all backgrounds and ensures everyone is welcomed
Every teacher is easy to reach out to, the facilities are great, although hires & loans is very difficult for certain students to get into due to numerous tests they have to take, which results in multiple students asking one person how to get or do this and that. Also, would be nice to get more modern, quality photo cameras in Hires & Loans. Additionally, as a media student, i’d love to get more assignments on making industry-standard, creative media work such as promo tabloids/posters, magazines, websites etc. rather than doing similar stuff to what i did in my media lessons in college. Other than that, uni is great and i’m dreading going back for the xmas break, can’t wait to already come back!

The university provides many opportunities for students
The lectures are very helpful
