Beautiful campus, lots of hands on experience, lecturers that are happy to answer questions and provide additional support The social nights can feel quite rowdy if you arent involved, but the SU does offer quieter evening events as well Access to all shopping essentials on campus, with three cafes that all serve great coffee. For larger shops, the best way to get to town is the shuttlebus, which is becoming more frequent over time, and is only £2 per day
It’s a small uni with so may connections and knowing so many people!
I really enjoy having a walk around the farm and taking part in farm skills sessions. The lecturers explain the topics in a way which is easy to understand and they make the sessions interesting and fun for us. We are currently doing our team challenge module and I think this is a great way for us to make new friends and communicate with people we haven’t necessarily spoken to before this. There are loads of on and off campus activities you can do and the student support is amazing, things like the library and the report advisors have helped me so much so far throughout my studies. I do struggle with the timetable as it changes each week and each day, I do believe this is down to being on the foundation year however I do find it extremely difficult to work part time around uni as I often finish at different times each day. For example one Monday I could finish at 11 and the next I could finish at 6. This therefore makes it difficult to explain to employers my availability.
The facilities here are amazing, I have gained so much valuable experience from them. The campus is very nice too, always looks clean and is nice and open. The people here are all lovely too! The only improvement I would recommend would be to my accommodation. It is quite worn out and the showers have had some problems since I started the year. The walls in the rooms are slightly worn but it’s nothing bad.

The university offers a supportive learning environment with helpful lecturers and good academic resources. The campus facilities are modern, and the Students’ Union organizes many activities that help students socialize and feel part of a community. Overall, it is a great place to study and develop both academically and personally
The university feels safe with support always at hand. Amazing nights out with transport sometimes supplied

Overall a rlly good university where I had the opportunity to meet some wonderful people during my studies there. The campus is very beautiful and it’s easy to find your way around due to its smaller size. Only complaints would be the RFA lecture theatre, it’s extremely outdated and old, the stairs literally creak and fall a little when you climb them. The chairs are the worst part, they are awkward to sit on considering the fact that they’re weirdly tilted either up or down. The desks are physically attached to the seat in front, so each time the girl in front of you wants to get more comfortable from those old nasty chairs, your whole desk row and your laptop will start moving as if there was a huge earthquake. God forbid you decide to go to the bathroom quietly during lecture, cause you’ll be walking past everyone in theatre on rlly loud and creaky stairs and if you’re extra unlucky and sit at the very top, everyone will see the outline of your head whilst it covers the projector.
Harper Adams University is a rural university, so it's something that you either love it or hate. Despite all, it's clear that Students' Union is doing everything to make it great for everyone and they are open to feedback. They even had a whole evening dedicated to hearing out criticism from students and they listened. Facilities are mostly good with some lecture theatres being a bit awkward due to their design and lack of sockets.
I think the hall I’m staying in for first year isn’t the nicest.Im not a fan of the yellow walls and curtains instead of a wardrobe in my accommodation.
Best thing is definitely the group of lecturers and the support around the corse area.they are always happy to help. Uni life outside of the course is a blast. Bad bits are that public transport is a bit difficult to use sometimes however there are alternatives provided by the uni.
Ward block is outdated and students are suffering with mould. We struggled with hot water for 2 weeks in the winter. But the social life is good and opportunities for clubs and societies.
- The location in a sense is ideal for the type of courses it provides, animal courses get access to a farm alongside the many agricultural and engineering routes being suited for the location -The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful - regardless if they know specifics they can point towards someone who is. - Plentiful resources for student - intensives student services network intertwined with students and wellbeing/academic support. - Location is still a problem. Accessibility isn't the beat even tho the university does help commuters. It's definitely a trek into campus or to the nearest shop (although we have a small one on site).
I love the young farmer feel and the people and the course but it’s very rural and not much to do
The support I received at Harper Adams has been amazing, the staff genuinely care about all their students and are always willing to help.
Great to be in the countryside Easy access with car Good access to shops and restaurants Good student nights Supportive teaching staff Lovely feel to the place
Studying here is great, it feels really safe and secure and everything is really close to accommodation so it’s never hard to get anywhere. The social side is good too with plenty of opportunities to socialise. My accommodation is good too, all the facilities work. The only thing I’ve found difficult is adjusting to the rural area, I’m from down south near to London in an urban area and I’m not used to rural areas. It is nice though but I’m still getting used to it!
I really love where Harper Adams is located and all the lecturers having worked in the industry are so helpful and inspiring to enter into the industry. I do feel however some issues that have been reported (for a number of years) aren’t acted on. There is the platforms to bring forward issues but so far I feel there has been very little actual action taken on issues brought forward. Things such as course module issues and facility problems.

Firstly, this is my favorite university and i am very lucky i got chance to do my bachelor. There are so many things which make it best university. Starting with their staff they are really good very supportive they listen student voice and work on it thay upgrading their system and everything time to time for example in Starting of my course i am facing some problems because i am from India and the education system gap is really huge i am struggling to understand new education system and curriculum . I talked about it to my course touter and he took it seriously and talked about it with there colleagues and they made some changes which is good and very helpful for me like as a international student university understand students issues and work on it and their teaching styles and their experts professional teachers they are amazing and they have food hand on their work and give us appropriate and updated industrial knowledge which help us to gain real knowledge and there are so other this good about this university .
At the beginning of my degree the students felt quite overlooked but the su has really stepped up and now I feel happier and safer at my uni

Best-facilities, library, catering. Worst- student support can sometimes be lacking.
Lectures can sometimes be considered boring or repetitive
No complaints except for not really getting along with other flatmates
