I would like to see more hours in the classroom but we have a good course that flows well between the years.

Buses are good with plenty city bikes and scooters

It's great value for money but I wish their were quiet dorms so I didn't have to be silent past 9pm

Easy to access and understand with any issues. Helpful advice, pretty good so far. Enjoying the classes as they are informative regarding the units and projects.

It's pretty fine, a lot of places to go drinking and hang out with friends, or go to the shopping centers (malls) and do whatever, for a simple city (Norwich) it's good, a lot more reasons to socialize.

I like that we get opportunities to work practically on films with help from our lecturers and also have scheduled time to work independently on our own film projects.

I like that these halls were communal, especially due to how far the accommodation was from town. I like that washing laundry was free, unlike every other uni accommodation. I didn’t like having communal bathrooms.

Lecturers are cruel but technical staff are incredible. Wouldn’t recommend this course if you have to work to support yourself throughout university and if you have any personal reasons you can’t be in university from 9-9 everyday, as that is what is expected

Everything is very cheap for what youre paying for, lovely ensuite and great community

While the course on paper through what we've got to do tends to be quite good the courses quality has fell massively over the years from the tutor leaving and being replaced by someone who seemingly knows very little about games development in general. This has meant a severe lack in learning anything new and has lead to much more self teaching kind of structure to doing things which slows everything down and has caused a lack of faith in our tutors as times gone on.

I like how my course is taught (face-to-face). However, it is the way the course is taught that I think needs to change. The briefing for each course project was extremely vague. I understand that this is the way that most first years are briefed. Despite this, it does not help those who need a little more time to come to terms with what is being asked of the students by the course leaders and lecturers. It has been extremely useful getting into contact with lecturers. I have found it really supported my previous learning and breaking those previous habits.

In my opinion, with rooms that include an ensuite bathroom, 3/4 bed with protective cover provided, wardrobe and desk space it is great value for money. There is space to make this room your own; with a felt board above the desk space that allows pictures and posters to be put up. As well as shelves for storage, drawers and charging ports both underneath the desk and below the bedside table. Windows either overlook Norwich Bus Station nearby or the courtyard out to the city. The room itself is extremely spacious. There is plenty of space to have friends and family over (whilst still abiding by campus rules). Another benefit of All Saints Green Student Accomodation is that it is only a 15 minute walk away from campus facilities and a 5-10 minute walk into the city centre and market place. This means that commuting to and from uni is extremely easy.

I like the amount of industry briefs we get in our course, as well as the optional classes we have such as life drawing and anatomy sculpting. However I don’t think we get enough direction or guidance from tutors. They are helpful when you have a specific question to ask, but the course content is not taught well. We don’t have proper step by step lessons that are presented to us, there needs to be more structure so that things are more understandable. There are not enough contact hours with tutors and not enough opportunity to be given feedback either. The seminars and lectures are very helpful, and we get lots of academic support, unfortunately it is the main part of the course that is lacking, there needs to be much more technical lessons and instruction. Perhaps setting shorter briefs that teach you a specific skill or step of a pipeline would be more useful, instead of a general brief for a large project where it is very self directed what you choose to do.

Amazing location and really good quality living accommodation. Only problem was the maintenance, lifts breaking and hot water being off for days at a time, things didn’t get addressed fast enough.

Sometimes the studio is too loud due to the acoustics

It’s a hybrid course (digital and in-person classes). They encourage you to experiment with lots of materials and techniques, they teach you how to think differently and push you to make your best work.
