It's a wonderful modern campus! Great facilities! And great lecturers, I just wish it wasn't in Middlesbrough
Lectures are very hands on and engaging.
If University could have more industry connection and more employment opportunity.
Student futures, unitempts and student journey is one of the best support systems at teesside university. Worst aspect I’d say is the parking situation.
Uni is has been one of the best experiences of my life, it has given me so much freedom and helped me grow as a person. My course is excellent it’s exactly what I was hoping, the facilities at the uni are also very good. There have been some technical issues that prevented us working this year but they sorted it out as quick as they could. One of the downfalls is communication is a massive issue, both within the uni and the accommodation team. We have had constant issues of things not being told to us till last minute and we have had people move in and out of our accommodation with no notice. Hopefully they improve on this soon.
When you have issues, there are plenty of people to tell, only problem is it might take a while to resolve and if you’re tight on time, it’s stressful. But when I needed to make a move from one course to another, the tutors were helpful in making sure I didn’t fall behind on the work of my new course, which I an grateful for.
Best - the people I’ve met and worked with during my time here, so many lovely people work here and help us out Worst - issues within my course, lack of guidance from uni for both students and teachers
Lots of study places and easy to move around the campus. Parking just for students

Tutors are lovely and so helpful, however more signage around rooms could be useful
I think the best aspect of my uni experience is I am enjoying my course so far. My lecturers for my course are good at explaining what is needed to be done. I think what could be improved is the timing to get to the lectures. I often struggle to get in for 9am due to traffic.
My uni experience has been really positive overall. The best aspect has been the support available for students, especially for those who are returning to education or balancing study with family life. Tutors are approachable, understanding, and genuinely want you to succeed, and there are plenty of resources such as the library, study skills workshops, and online tools that make studying more manageable. The campus feels welcoming, and it’s easy to find help when you need it. The main area that could be improved is communication and organisation at times, especially around timetables and assignment guidance, which can occasionally feel unclear. It would also be helpful if there were more flexibility in scheduling or additional childcare-friendly options for students with families. Despite this, the support systems in place usually make up for the challenges, and the overall atmosphere is encouraging and inclusive.
Meeting new friends and learning new skills through university. The university provides a supportive learning environment with qualified instructors and strong academic resources and also has great facilities.
It has all of the support and facilities you need to thrive at university
Student support helped me get actual support that would last longer that my time at the uni
