What students say about pastoral-studies

From my opinion I would say ARU is praised for its supportive staff, modern facilities, diverse community, and strong career services. However, areas for improvement include communication responsiveness, consistency in course delivery, better promotion of extracurricular activities, and some accommodation and facility concerns. Overall, it offers a positive student experience with room for enhancement in certain aspects.

What students say about pastoral-studies

The course is taught by amazing lecturers, who are kind and always there to help, however the course is not managed by the best people, and this leads to a lot of poor choices done regarding the course such as the contest which is being taught (with actual lectures, having no say in it) or for example the number of students/ level of students that are in the class. Currently the head of business has decided to add a whole class (+30) of foundation students with year 1 students (level 4) at the start of January without any warning before . This has negatively impacted level 1 students, as the content being shared is not the best, neither are the paste of lectures as the foundation student take too long to complete simple activities that year 1 students complete in minutes. Although year 1 students have expressed their feelings about this to lecturers and the head of business, the head of business refuses to split the class in 2, with excuses that there are not enough free classrooms, which is not true. Further, sad to say this, but my amazing lecturers now seem worried to bring issues up to the heads of business as they could get in trouble or fired. Very unethical and unprofessional. Will be changing universities next year

Overall the uni experience has been great so far however, support lacks at times as they sometimes focus more on grades than mental health. The campus is beautiful and it is a useful place to get work done as there are many seating areas as well as high quality wifi.

What students say about pastoral-studies

Best: Lots of fantastic clubs and events happening all of the time. Gorgeous campus Worst: I really struggled to get support with some of my go abroad opportunities, I felt it was badly organised and (obviously not all but) some members of staff did not seemed informed at all on most aspects of the process.

What students say about pastoral-studies

I'm studying BA theology at LST (London School of Theology) I'm 22 and classed as a mature student! This has honestly been the best experience of my life so far! If you want a place to study about God and grow in your relationship with Him then this is the place! LST is known for its great community, I would describe it as my LST family. Having this close community it really helped me to enjoy my uni experience, not only to grow in relationship with God but also make long life friends. My first thoughts of coming to LST was that everyone will know more than me and I would find it hard to fit in as I have recently become a Christian. But, this wasn't the case, the support I was given was incredible and there were more people like me who haven't come straight from church, this was really refreshing as I thought I would find it daunting. And don't get me wrong my first year has personally been the hardest year for me for other reasons. But LST to me, during such a hard time, was just still so enjoyable! I would recommend this Uni to anyone. The faculty are great and you can go talk to them anytime if you have any worries or questions, they will try their best to help you.

This really is a great place to be a part of. I absolutely love the Glasgow school of Art. I have already recommended to friends & my cousin who has always wanted a place here - she is an incredible designer.

What students say about pastoral-studies

Durham is a beautiful city and university with great social opportunities. The traditions are very strong at this school. It feels today like how Oxford and Cambridge were twenty years ago. Sometimes administration can be a challenge, many people have difficulty in knowing how to pay tuition and the university is slow to respond to emails. Also, there are far too many international students and just students in general. The university’s expansion plans are causing a drop in the school’s national and international rankings and causing the university to be in danger of losing its character.

What students say about pastoral-studies

The support from university and staff has been amazing! Teaching is outstanding and great facilities. Only downfall is Aberdeens student life and location, the campuses aren’t very close together for people who rely on public transport . I find being a driver just as hard due to lack of parking and costs. £5.75+ per day to park adds up a lot for someone who doesn’t come from a wealthy family.
