The university offers a comprehensive student support services, students can book sessions regarding improving study skills, IT skills, counselling and more. There is also a student help point where students can seek help for generalised support like living in Aberdeen. The campus sets along the River Dee with a lot of greeneries along, I particularly like the view from the library. Facilities are always clean and there are simulation labs for healthcare students. The student union are also active in organising events including RGU Many Nations to celebrate the cultural diversity in the school and the Breakfast Club on every Tuesday. There are a range of societies and sports club from academics to hobbies, I enjoyed the campus life a lot. The school is also accessible by bus 1 and 2 to city centre.

As an occupational therapy student studying in the school, I enjoyed the course content very much. The course starts from generalised occupational therapists knowledge like the OT process and anatomy to more specialised services like different specialities and OT models to be used. The classes are interactive, consisting a range of group works like creating posters, conducting discussions and sharing of placement experience with peers. The tutors are all experienced occupational therapists, we are all divided into groups with a personal tutor each. Students are able to voice their opinions and difficulties easily with their personal tutors and through the feedback sessions of every course. There are 5 placements opportunities within the 4-year study, with 4 of them arranged by the school. The placement definitely helped me to consolidate the knowledge I learnt from classes and carrying out hands-on interventions. The school also offers simulation sessions with voluntary patients beforehand to let student try and experience conducting interventions in real-life settings.
