What students say about therapies

The 24 hour liabry does help a lot and this university is good when it comes to understanding external stressors and being mindful of them and it is a good uni for understanding learning disabilities, compared to others. Could be improved with telling all students what's available there a lot that is available but isn't to easy to find the information etc global citizens schemes.

LONDON

What students say about therapies

My experience at Loughborough University London has been incredibly enriching, both academically and personally. One of the best aspects is the diverse and supportive environment — the campus brings together students from all over the world, creating a truly global community. The teaching staff are passionate experts in their fields and genuinely invested in students’ success, offering valuable insights and constructive feedback. I also appreciate how the university blends academic theory with real-world industry projects, which has helped me develop practical skills and build meaningful professional connections in London’s creative and digital sectors. The modern campus facilities at Here East, right in the heart of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, add to the vibrant atmosphere and provide an inspiring place to study. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be increasing the range of extracurricular activities and social events specifically for postgraduates, to make it easier to network and build friendships outside the classroom. While the campus is beautifully designed, the relatively small size can sometimes make it feel a bit quiet, especially compared to larger city-centre universities. Overall, however, Loughborough University London stands out for its strong industry links, international perspective, and focus on employability, making it a great choice for students who want to blend academic study with real-world impact.

The careers team is amazing at posting job listings. They are so proactive in getting you the right support and I love that about them. And I think the structure of some teaching material could be improved with bringing the right balance of AI into studies

The support Brighton Uni has given me so much support with this course and made it very clear who to contact if any issues arise. I also know from friends how incredibly supportive and sympathetic the uni has been when they have experienced personal issues. This is my second Uni I have studied at, and Brighton is far better with the support it gives its students compared to the first one.

It might not be university specific, but the difficulties in commuting has a big impact. The university has been negotiating with the first bus, however, the busses are always full because of sudden cancellations. Since university is at the top of the hill, I would hope this to be improved significantly so I wouldn’t have to walk up or take an uber up which makes me too tiring to concentrate on lectures.

I like the different activities offered for students and the extra support regarding mental health during exam period, for example the stands in the library with fun arts and crafts. I feel like I would like more spaces inside to spend with my friends outside of studying. During bad weather, Plant Pot and other similar spaces get too full.

What students say about therapies

One of the best parts of studying at Roehampton University is the friendly and supportive environment. The lecturers explain topics clearly and are always willing to help when students have questions. The campus is peaceful, with good facilities like the library, study rooms, and social spaces, which makes it a comfortable place to learn. I also enjoy meeting classmates from different countries and backgrounds because it helps me learn new ideas and understand different cultures. The teaching style at Roehampton makes learning easier and more enjoyable. Seminars and group activities help me understand the lessons better, and the coursework is practical, helping me connect what I learn to real-life situations. I feel that the university encourages students to think independently and build confidence. Overall, I feel supported in my studies, and this has helped me grow both academically and personally. Even though my experience has been positive, there are some areas that could improve. Sometimes the workload feels heavy, especially when deadlines are close together. Communication about certain tasks or readings can be unclear at times. More career support, part-time job opportunities, and more flexible timetables would also make things easier for students. However, these challenges are common in most universities, and Roehampton still offers a good overall student experience.

What students say about therapies

As an international student, one of the most rewarding aspects of my university experience has been the supportive and student-friendly environment. Adjusting to a new country and education system can be challenging, but the university’s approachable faculty, student services, and peer support made the transition much smoother. The staff are always willing to help, and there are numerous resources available to assist with academic, personal, and cultural adaptation. The university’s inclusivity is another key strength. It celebrates diversity and provides a space where everyone feels respected and valued, regardless of their background or nationality. This inclusive atmosphere has helped me build meaningful connections and collaborate with people from all over the world, enriching my learning and broadening my perspective. Furthermore, the welcoming and accessible environment has made a huge difference. From orientation events to student societies, there are constant efforts to make international students feel at home. The campus facilities, online learning tools, and support services are highly accessible, ensuring that all students can participate fully in academic and social activities. If I can point out something that can be improved is Food. It’s funny how something as simple as food can make such a big difference in how “at home” you feel in a new country. Encouraging more international food options on campus or hosting cultural food events could make a meaningful (and delicious!) improvement to student life.
