My experience on the MSc Sport & Exercise Medicine has been very positive overall. The course is taught by knowledgeable clinicians and lecturers who bring valuable real-world insight from sport, physiotherapy and medical settings. The blend of theory and applied practice—especially the integration of biomechanics, physiology, injury management and rehabilitation—helped make the content relevant and engaging. The facilities, including the labs, performance testing equipment and practical teaching spaces, added excellent hands-on learning opportunities. I also valued the supportive environment and the chance to learn alongside students from different professional backgrounds, which broadened my clinical perspective. There are still areas that could be improved. More structured clinical exposure, such as placements, shadowing or match-day experience, would significantly enhance the practical side of the course. Some modules could benefit from clearer organisation, more consistent teaching quality and stronger alignment between lectures and assessments. At times, communication around deadlines, timetable changes and assessment expectations could be clearer. Finally, quicker and more detailed feedback would help students develop their clinical reasoning and academic skills more effectively. Overall, it is a strong and supportive programme with great potential, and these improvements would make the student experience even better.

The best aspects of my course have been the quality of teaching and the applied nature of the content. Lecturers and clinicians are knowledgeable, approachable and bring real-world experience from sport and healthcare, which makes the learning engaging and relevant. The mix of lectures, practical sessions and applied case discussions works well and helps link theory to clinical practice. In-class teaching is especially valuable, as it allows hands-on skill development, collaborative learning and the chance to ask questions directly. Contact time with lecturers is generally good, and they are supportive when approached for guidance. The facilities, labs and practical spaces further strengthen the overall learning experience. The course could be improved in a few areas. Some modules would benefit from more consistent structure and clearer communication around expectations, assessment details and timetable changes. Contact hours can feel limited at times, especially for developing practical MSK assessment and clinical reasoning skills, so additional practical sessions or workshops would be helpful. More organised clinical exposure or placement opportunities would also strengthen the applied side of the programme. Lastly, feedback on assignments could be more detailed and timely to support ongoing improvement. Overall, the course is strong and engaging, with clear potential for further enhancement.
