It's an amazing university with a lot of support networks in place for sturents. The lectures often offer one to one to help the students to excel. There is a lot of what the students have said that have been acknowledged by the university and acted upon, for example extension library hours and help around that. As a result of this hours got extended and there is now an option to speak to a librarian online.

I have never had an issue accessing any of the uni facilities. The library has extended its hours so that people can stay longer and I've never had to wait around to use a computer to work.

The support provided by the uni has been outstanding, from my own experience, they were quick to see me and help me with any issues and concerns I had.

I rarely go, but when I have been the atmosphere has been so welcoming and relaxed which is exactly what you need after a busy week of deadlines.

The town has a lot of shops ranging from low level shops to designer brands. It's also not too far from any halls or homes of students. The night life is also good as it is a relatively cheap night for all.

The clubs and societies are so welcoming and make everyone feel important. They don't push for people to drink nor do they force you to do anything you don't want to. It's a great way to meet new people and have a break from uni work.

The lectures are available to help any student and are understanding over particular situations giving extensions when necessary.

Some halls are better than others and the prices aren't that differen given the living conditions and the locality.

My university experience so far has been amazing. The uni is very supportive, my family lives overseas so the support from university with this has been amazing, i feel as though there are loads of facilities I can access. The focus on students and mental health is evident at the uni, with loads of support and access to facilities. Anything we have concerns on during the course we can speak to our course rep, to see if any changes will be made. I constantly take the bus, which has deals with the university for discount tickets. As I use the bus regularly it’s really useful. There is no direct regular bus route from where I live to uni, so I have to walk 10/15 minutes from the bus stop through town. For my course there are loads of amazing facilities for our crime scene module including a house, car and green area. Using these facilities every 3/4 weeks for practicals. My course currently for exams, is assignment and practical based. Which is really good for me personally as I get anxiety around sitting exams.

The course is really enjoyable, anything that could be a sensitive topic lecturers do give trigger warnings and all lecture topics are posted on moodle. The course is mainly taught in person, with practicals and seminars every few weeks. Currently we have one online lecture due to the lecturer being overseas. We have lectures 4 days a week, each week any reading is posted with the lecture powerpoint. So it’s specified to the lecture.
