The university is placed in a good location and very easy to navigate around, as it is all on one campus area. The student support throughout campus is top quality. However it has been impossible to get counselling appointments. However, since COVID-19, the union and student life experience have reduced significantly. I am unsure whether this is just because of how students are interacting since COVID or whether it has to do with reduced funding.

The teaching staff and academic advisors (careers advisors etc) are very inclusive and teach in a way that keeps you engaged in what you are learning. On negative regarding the academic school, however, is the fact they have merged three separate schools together. All whilst reducing staff and funding opportunities. This is despite staff and students alike not wanting this merger to happen.

Very central and everything is easy to find in town. Other than the general increase in cost of living this year (like has been happening everywhere) I would say I have been fairly lucky. The only issue cost wise is electric. There is also a struggle to find accommodation but that is purely due to private landlords renting out to non-students during COVID meaning there were not many short-term lets available.

Expensive for what it was and when the elevator broke having to walk up to the 8th floor wasn't great when you have asthma. But regardless of all that, the overall experience in university halls was really good.
