The campus is big but not too big so you quicky get used to everything and where it is. There are a lot of food stores near by the campus. The train station is about a 15 minute walk which is pretty nice if you're commuting. There's quite a few cosy spots on campus and the student hub in the main building is very nice. The sports centre is also amazing and they have so man opportunities for you to play different sports or go the gym.

The course leader and the staff for Optometry are very helpful and proactive in creating content to support you. They release the slides well in advance and once you get used to the Aston Blackboard you realise how well organised everything is. It is so easy to find things. Some advice I would give is before you start university check EVERYTHING - because they release things in advance you can see when assessments are going to be, the labs you'll have and it gives you a chance to get organised before entering university especially because it is quite a fast paced course - the sessions and assessments move quick. One improvement I think could be made is if they added different methods of explaining. Some content can be a little confusing if solely explained through text. If for instance, flowcharts were used it would be a little easier to visualise things.

Lecturers are understanding and explain concepts well. There are a variety of societies to join.

Lectures are 3 days a week. Online recording is available to those who could not come. Practices are 3x a week.
