Aston University is the best place for people who want to make the most out of their university life. Located close to the city centre of Birmingham, Aston University has a beautiful architectural structure. When one misses their family, the Aston Main Building is a perfect location to get lost (like literally). The campus takes prides in its massively amazing Library Building and the awarded Student Union Building, catering the needs of students during serious exam times to chilling parties and hanging out moods. The lecturers are super friendly and patient, and the lectures are delivered through hybrid means. While exam week is a little stressful (same as exam week everywhere), the support provided by the staff and lecturers goes beyond appreciation. Being an International student, I had personally enrolled into a free English tutoring at the Aston LDC (Learning Development Centre) and found it really helpful in getting started and drafting my assignments. The Library Resources are the greatest treasure trove for reading and researching for assignments and projects. Being very close to the city centre, there are way too many options of food and fun. Be it a quick breakfast, a long meal or maybe just something to munch the boredom away, there are so many food centre’s and places very close to the Campus. The Bullring and Grand Central are a must visit shopping and food spot. The Birmingham Library is also located at a considerably close distance. It is a beautiful and peaceful place, a dreamland for book lovers. The Canal-side is a perfect place for a walk, selfies or maybe a picnic with friends. If given a chance to re-live this experience over and over again, I would still choose to go to Aston University every single time.

I am enrolled into MSc International Accounting and Finance at Aston University, Birmingham. The first two terms have an average of Four subjects depending on the choice of optional modules. Most of the subjects are assessed based on term end assignments. Very few subjects in my course have a Term End Exam. The lectures are scheduled over the week and are delivered in hybrid manner. While we have many offline lectures on the campus, we also have synchronous online seminars to attend. The subjects and the syllabus in my course seem very relevant and meaningful. Some lecturers ask to complete pre-lecture activities and readings, while others suggest to do asynchronous activities after completion of a lecture. As the course period is short, the lecturers stress upon completing the reading as and well the lectures take place. The Lecturers are super friendly and patient. The ensure that every student is understanding the course and keeping up with class. Students are allowed to schedule appointments with Lecturers to discuss their concerns. Apart from scheduling appointments, the lecturers are available on mail or face-to-face on the campus premises.
