The uni has excellent academic standards and teaching standards, and the lecturers are all very approachable if you are struggling. The level of individualised support and pastoral care is very high for those who need it. The campus is safe and in a wonderful leafy environment, but it is only a short train journey away from central London. The SU is very inclusive and there are always loads of events on, and the societies are all very open and accepting of newcomers.

The university has many specialised facilities for each subject - the Music department could do with a little TLC but it will be completely renovated in the next couple of years anyway.

There is excellent support in a wide range of areas, such as faith support, counselling, residental support etc. for those who need it.

The SU is very inclusive and diverse and offers support in many areas such as finding accommodation. The event nights run by the SU are always great fun!

Whilst there isn't much nightlife in Egham, where Royal Holloway is situated, there are more than enough venues on campus and pubs around the town, and it is only half an hour away from central London on the train.

There is a society for pretty much everything here, and if you can't find the one you want you can create one yourself! As well as subject-based societies, there are language/ ethnicity-based ones, others such as dance, Shakespeare, Humans vs. Zombies and Harry Potter! There is such an open atmosphere as well - even if you've never tried something before, you will be welcomed with open arms into the society!

The courses give you a basic grounding in what you need to know but are also flexible so you can focus on any specific are which interests you. There are also many different degree combinations on offer. The lecturers are all excellent at teaching and are very approachable and willing to help anyone who is struggling.

There are regular Careers events and the lady in charge of careers works extremely hard to give as many opportunities as possible to every student.

There is a wide range of accommodation options so you can choose exactly what suits both your needs and your budget.
