The main university campus is this beautiful mixture of grand and ancient architecture which really makes it feel like an important institution, the newly renovated Stephenson building is everything you need in this degree, it has work spaces and rooms you can book to study in. There’s computer rooms and many multifunction labs in which you will have practical sessions within. These facilities are all brand new and so you can be sure you are getting the best out of your degree. Every student is assigned a peer mentor and a personal tutor. These are the people you go to when you need any kind of help whilst you are at university. I’ve found them incredibly helpful when you have a question but have no idea who to ask.

The course hours aren’t too high, I roughly have 15 hours a week of in person lectures, tutorials, and practical's and I believe it’s the perfect amount to balance studying and socialising. The course content isn’t too big of a step up from A level. A lot of the stuff we learn isn’t available as an A level anyway, so the content is straight forward.

I really like my accommodation as it is right next to the city centre with a Tesco Express a minutes walk away and clothes shops only a 5 minute walk into the centre. Its very close to the campus too which makes it a lot easier to go home for lunch and nip back if you’ve forgotten anything.

Newcastle University was one of my top preferences on UCAS. I got a place in Newcastle University for studying Mechanical Engineering. I am delighted to say that Newcastle has lived upto my expectations. The University has great faculty and also the library and a few computer clusters are open 24 hours, 7 days a week during term time. The University always makes sure that the students are doing well and the staff is always there, ready to help, whatsoever the problem.
