The best thing about the uni is how much support there is for students - both at the uni and within the Students' Union. We have personal tutoring available and the SU offers a range of support, advice, counseling and a careers service completely for free for students. However, for Modern Languages students we don't have enough appropriate facilities - we don't even have a designated building for classes and our seminars take place all around campus, which limits our access to dictionaries and other useful resources during class time.

In the Languages department, all of our teaching takes place in small groups and so everyone gets a lot of contact time with the tutor. The modules are offered according to the areas of expertise of the tutors. We don't really have a designated Modern Languages building/floor and our teaching takes place all around campus, which limits our access to dictionaries and other resources during class time. In addition, there are not enough copies of our compulsory readings in the library. (I would like to highlight that the Department can't influence any of this, though).

The value for money was decent and having bills included was really good. I lived in the Oadby accommodation which is relatively far from everything.
