Languages as a department doesn’t have its own designated classrooms so we often end up in very bizarre locations, whereas all other subjects have more designated teaching space. But overall, I would recommend Bath to anybody, I think that the support provided by the uni is excellent, and they really encourage all students to really make the most of their experiences.

Our language specific departments are brilliant, the staff really are able to get to know each individual student, and many additional activities are offered to help with language learning.

The hall’s are quite expensive, Westwood specifically had no en-suite and single beds, and friends I know at other universities had cheaper accommodation with double beds and en-suites. Overall though the halls enabled me to meet many new people and were a solid foundation for starting university.
